Celeb? Console?

I assume blogging tonight will reflect the closest and most immediate feelings.

I told mama in the evening, if I get good results, I'll eat a piece of bakgua to celebrate, otherwise, if I get bad results, I'll eat a piece of bakgua to console myself.

In the end, I had a piece of bakgua before the results are release, cos I was afraid that eating that oily unhealthy stuff too late at night might get myself indigestion.

When the midnight clock strike, I was in the midst of watching movie from Takuya Kimura, the most exciting section of the movie. That kind of lightened the mood of anticipation.

An when I see my result... oh well... thank god another sem passed. Quoting from TK, 无惊无险. Bakgua for Celeb or Console? For me to reflect. But anyway, I had my bakgua already.

Dust

Finally did something useful on a sunny lazy saturday.

Finally...
cleared my desk
filed my dusty notes
washed my bag
wiped my mini hi-fi
packed my cupboard

oh well... all in all... clearing dust.
One less item to do before 2008 comes to an end.

ok... a couple of things. Factually, 2008 is coming to... an end.
(*you means it is?! omg! I didnt realise that! I hardly remember I spent time living in 2008. but anyway... what else?*)

Following the end of 2008, signified that final year sem1 is coming to... an end, and it is the beginning of final year final sem.
(*OMG! that's one big shock! I didnt know I was that OLD! I always thought I was born in year 2000! gosh!*)

And FYP is also coming to... an end.
(*go away liar! dont bluff! it is coming to an end only in your DREAM! I am darn busy and freaking out over it k! if yours come to an end, come do mine. I can pay you. eh... how bout 5000 per hour? S$?! Indonesia Rupiah la!*)

And me... I am coming to... a mental state of bizarreness. Multiple unsound nights of weird dreams.

A Series of Weird Dreams

(Warning very long fictitious post)

As the title suggest, this post is about my long series of weird dreams, which began, umm, very long ago. Too interesting to not blog. Here's snapshots of them. (not in chronological order)

1976 Tonnes

I was a volunteer in some ulu part of China. Working in an organisation to help poor villagers shave sheep's wool. According to the dream, maintaining a sheep will cost US$40 per year, but our organisation only charge US$4 per year per sheep. In the beginning of the dream, I was shaving a sheep for an old uncle. I was an expert in it! And the setting of the place... A BIG BIG indoor court with a BIG electronic scoreboard showing the number of tonnes of sheep's wool collected. At the glance of it, showing 1976 tonnes. Oh, the sheep's wool collected will be used to make cloth/clothes, income to aid running of the organisation and help the needy!

(I am so philanthropic even in my dream.)

WB was the teacher-of-the-day teaching us (me, SZ, etc) how to make soyabean cookies. And he himself is unsure of how much eggs/ flour to put. Did I mention I don't really know WB well.

Fire - Illusion?

It was nighttime, I was in a carpark staircase, running up and down and cant find the exit. At last, I saw a door leading to LT. But when I was at the LT door, I saw 2 girls with a shocked face looking into the LT. I was so scared I ran off. And then, I went to the roof of the carpark and saw a lady walking towards a car. My hope! I ran over and ask her to give me a lift away from this scary place. She ignored me. Until I wave frantically over her, she gave me an acknowledgement. And she asked what I was doing there. I told her I was trapped, and suddenly saw the staircase I came out from was on fire. BIG fire! I asked the lady to go as there was a huge fire, but she look and say there is no fire. Is that my illusion? Is she real?

故宫的厕所

I was at 台湾故宫 with my parents. But this museum did not look like it actually is. It looked like a run down chinese style coffee shop. I was looking for toilet, found it, but there were many many kids running around in the toilet. Argh! I need the the toilet.

Hair+Swimming+CNY

First I had my hair cut and rebonded, then I was on a boat to and met my JC senior on the way. Then I was in a swimming pool swimming. Wah! I became very good in swimming. And the next thing, the toilet is so crowded that there is no room to swim. Alot of uncles around in the swimming pool. Then people start to leave the pool as it is too crowded. That left room for me to continue swimming. And suddenly, there is no more water in the pool, and rows and rows of chairs appeared in the dried pool. Many aunties and uncles were seated. So, me and my mum went to ask one of the aunty what was the event. She angrily show us the notice. It was a CNY AngBao Collection for Low Income Senior Citizens, so she was angry that me, who was not poor and old, want to get angbao too. All this while, me and mama were in swim suits and all wet!

(This must be a nightmare from SZ. Rebonded/Cut hair + Swimming + CNY. oh no~)

Busy still

Exam ended. But hectics can't seems to bear to leave me.

Hmm... this exam... I think I've to reflect a little on myself. Alot of things not right. Something must be not right. That's on my part though, 自己的问题. Studying in school this time round spark quite a few light moments, spiced up with ample number of jokes. That's the good part, nothing to do with me.

Has been so held up, that I didn't post for very long. I'll post my birthday celebration photos, gathering pictures, some other time. Oh! Yesterday is a fun one. Laugh so much that I've muscle ache, mouth very tired and sore throat today. Shall update more together with the pictures next time.

Well so much for a quick update. Busy still... I foresee a never-before "Dec holiday". May the force be with me!

3 weeks 4 weeks

3 weeks since my previous post.

"No coffee no tea no milk no dairy product no spicy no oily no fried food, but you can eat yoghurt, and sleep earlier."

I've been living on the advice doc gave since, ok, accept for the sleep earlier part.
There's so much to do. And so much procrastination. Difficult.

The first one week of "no coffee" really torture me. Flu, with withdrawal syndrome of headache is a killer. Anyway. I've decided to break my hard earn routine of no coffee soon. Exam coming, I cant afford to keep falling asleep while studying.

Recently, alot happened. Interviews, quiz, projects, tutorials, programming... People got stressed and tensed, people come and go, people I see, people I don't get to see, people talk, people don't talk. Hmm... anyway... it will get better.

That's all for now. More updates when I've time (and inspiration).

Sick... Again

Sick... again.

Yea, I am sick again. Not sick of someone/something, but myself falling sick.

As far as my deteriorating memory can recall, this is the second time in 6 weeks.

4th - 5th week of semester, I was horribly down with ColdVirus.2008.ver1.0. I can still remember vividly myself sticking a coiled up tissue into both my nostrils, eyes watery and struggling to open, and typing my report while trying to do tutorials and project.

9th-10th week of semester, here I am, down with ColdVirus.2008.ver1.1. Well, this time I went to see doctor on the 3rd day of ignition. I'm on the road to recovery... again.

Maybe purely coincident, maybe not. I've been on poor health this semester. Remember not-so-long-ago, before the semester even start, I was food poisoned, twice. One month of living with "gentle-on-the-stomach-food". Plus the two weeks of food deprived after wisdom tooth removal. Perhaps my immune system has happily declared holiday, and still on holiday.

Please~ don't let me down. I need you to come back. I promise I'll triple the pay & double the benefits. Plus another 6months bonus? Sponsored holiday, sponsored transportation, sponsored accommodation, sponsored housing, sponsored meals...

Now! Take it or leave it! I SAY COME BACK FROM YOUR DARN HOLIDAY!!!

A Pride Engineer

Sing to the Dawn @ Singapore Zoo

What a special occasion!

SZand I went to the Singapore Zoo yesterday, 27 Sep 2008, evening 6pm, to watch Sing to the Dawn. The first time the zoo is holding a movie screening in their newly renovated Amphitheatre.

Alot of kids, who got really fasinated by the lightings while waiting for movie to start. Long lost is the kid in me.

Why Am I Blogging at 2am -- A Happier Person

Another episode of "Why Am I Blogging at 3am". This time is 2am.

I've been rather slack for the past week, after submitting the "1st-report", recovering from the illness, and taking 2 horrible quizzes.
The nervousness reappear again after a week. But gladly, it turn out to be a relief. I should be doing well I guess. I can feel the friendliness and sincerity. Haha!

But another important decision surfaced after that day. PhD or not? That definitely is a big decision for me. I am quite sure of what to choose, just that I need a little confirmation from some people, and from myself. The answer will become clearer in no time I believe.

Oh yah! I strongly think that my Mind Power is getting stronger as the days. When I hope so much to see a person, that person will appear. Hahaha!

For now, I'll continue to do my best. Less of the slacking ok.

Why Am I Blogging at 3am?

ROAR! Why am I blogging at 3am?!

Because I've just sent out my 超级无敌非常严重-难产 "1st-report".

The past week has been horrible.

All started with a sore throat on last last monday. When the following day had a presentation. The sorethroat subsided, and the runny nose took two days before it got ignited by the ultra cold LT. There the runny nose carried on for 3 days before the pleasant gift (that's gonna expire in coming oct) from CS one year ago saved me from it. Well, maybe it is not the drug, but me swallowing tonnes of fruits and eating 鱼片米粉. But anyway, I am the winner in this virus war.

As usual, hecticness has real good team spirit, they usually unite themselves and attack at the same time. Sometimes even alliance with virus to further torture.

OH! Me felt so injustice. (*Grumble grumble*).

I am already trying and putting in my best effort. If people can't see it, is it my fault? Maybe yes, but I've already presented my situation. Is that still my problem if that someone didn't bother to listen and understand? ROAR!

Deep inside me, I've voodoo-ed the person 3000 times, voodooing the person to furious-popping-of-pimples + baldness + shrink smaller (all in all to look like Golum with pimples), all in a year time. And I Strongly Believe that my 念力 is STRONG.

First of all, Congratulations to Beijing for a successful Beijing Olympic Games 2008 Opening Ceremony. Truly amazed by 张艺谋. Beautiful enough to Stun the world. Spectacular enough to Wow. Unique enough to Impress. (small tiny areas for improvement still, but good in general).

Then Happy 43rd Birthday to my homeland. I've walked through with her for half of the 43 years (makes me really old huh?). This is far from perfect place to live, but good enough to make me smiling, energetic enough to complain, safe enough to walk alone, peaceful enough to sleep through the night soundly.

On my part. I met my "Very-Important-Person (VIP)" today. Was kind of... abit... quite... very... stressed before the meet-up, after listening to all the horror stories from others. In fact, was feeling 战战兢兢.

But, VIP "seemed" to be quite friendly. Nothing especially stressful occurred. A relieved. But now, gotta buck up and catch up on the work hours lost during holiday and wisdom tooth removal. Now I AM STRESSED. Hoping to fulfill VIP's expectations.

I promise I'll try my best!

KTV Reloaded

Went to KTV again yesterday. Because SZ and TK both feel like K-得不爽 previous time at Marina. This time we go back to good-old-chinatown. Only Me, SZ, TK and H this time. Only took 2 pictures throughout the 5hours. First one is while testing out my timer-function setting. And the second one is the successful version. Still look darn funny. Like everyone in their own world. And the orange backgroud make it so CNY feel. hahah! And 难得 all of us in different colours clothes. So COLOURFUL & CNY!

New Sem

Argh~ New semester's starting again. Now I am gonna be the oldest group of people in school. No longer fresh. Old~~~

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

(WARNING! Long-Winded Post Ahead)

These few days had been staying at home to rest (didnt even step out of the door lo). That's because I've a lower right wisdom tooth extraction on Tues 29Jul08. Purposedly arranged on that day so that I can finish going KTV and feasting first before the terror sets in.

Regret not feasting on Tues morning. Cos I only had a piece of 面煎糕 for lunch, then go NDC for extraction.

As usual, gotta wait for my turn although I've an appointment (appointment at 2pm, but only went in at 3pm). Me chose local anaesthetic, cos only remove one, thought that no need to 夸张 to go for general anaesthetic. The dentist came in and inject the anaesthetic first (grr... bitter bitter de), then I was cleaned up abit around the mouth and neck area by the nurse using wet tissues. Then, my eyes were covered up (so-called for protection of the eyes, but I can still see the BRIGHT RED colour of lights shining on me even with eyes closed. I supposed to stop me from feeling afraid from the drill and blood).

Laid for a while for the numbness to set in.

Then the dentist said... "Open your mouth bigger, Bigger, BIGGER". "Cannot open any bigger ar?"

Me mumbled... "I~~ gor~~ jaww~~ pobem~~".

Dentist..."Huh? what did she say?"

Nurse... "She say she got a jaw problem."

Dentist... "Oh! okok... you get me a mouth probe for her to bite on. Jia yee.. your jaw problem might worsen after the removal ok... are you ok?? more comfortable like that??"

Me knod knod.

Then alot of drilling, and bits of water and pump sound. And alot of pressure on my mouth/jaw/head... argh~~

Dentist... "the tooth is out already... now I stitch up for you.. you ok?"

Me knod knod.

When the stitching are done, the eye cover was removed, and the dentist gave me back the bloody-tooth-with-flesh-attached. So BIG a tooth!!!!

Sat there for a moment before the nurse brought me out to rest.
Nurse... "you ok? can you walk? ok... you follow the nurse to go out to rest"

The people at NDC are actually quite nice. Whoever that walk passed will ask if I was feeling ok.
The nurse came and brief me on the drugs, changing gauze, brushing teeth etc.

Finally done. Paid and go to pharmacy to get medicine.

That's not the end of the story. Back home, I swollowed 2 tablets of day-pain killer before the effect of anaesthetic wear off. Was so sleepy after watching tv, I went to sleep. Bout an hour plus later, PAIN started to overwhelm me! Roar! Pain!!!! Cant sleep le! I woke, but dont dare to take pain killer again (only 3hours since the previous dose, need the final dose to last me through the night). So I ENDURE! And the wound is still bleeding. Roar! While waiting for dinner, which is porridge to cool, I laid on bed, so pain!!! Me chop chop swollowed abit of porridge and had pain killer, finally able to sleep. Bout hour plus got awoke by a sms, so I got up to check on the wound again, seem like stopped bleeding. At last good sleep.

The next morning, I had the morning-pain killer (told to be strong, can cause nausea and drowsy). Grr... was nausea and drowsy the entire day! And finally vomited after dinner. That's the last pain killer I took... sooo horrible.

Yesterday morning, me had a dream, I went to pizza hut, was browsing through the menu and finally decided on spagetti+meatchop, just when I was about to place order, I realise I cant chew! Argh!!!!

Surviving on milk and porridge now. I wanna eat fish cracker, kfc, pizza, old chang kee fried food, luo mee, wanton mee, long john silver, spagetti................................................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gathering 2-in-1

Holiday is nearing end. So before the hectic schedule kicks in, I've a busy time meeting up with friends. Also to fulfill my unhealthy pre-wisdom-tooth-extraction-cum-减肥's 暴饮暴食. Both sang well live. 力扬 is cool and calm. But Yoga is super high, running around throughout. The camera man must have a hard time trying to keep him in frame. My friend thought he is drunken.
Btw, this is the most crowded campus concert I've seen. The 1240-seat TCC hall is all packed, with alot of people without chairs, sitting on steps. It took the crew half an hour to get all seated (and that's why it was delayed for more than half an hour, hmm...). The crowd is an unstable lots.

Super Belated Birthdays Celebration

After much arrangement, considering all busy busy people schedule, ATP finally met for SUPER BELATED BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION for TK, CS, and R (as long as 4months belated).

And we had lunch at V8. "Someone" was late for an hour plus lo! Don't know who say "Dunnoe who will be late". Hahahha! And some more, that "someone" have no bday celeb for 3years lo!

Anyway, here's the pictures taken. Din take alot of pic though... was too busy trying to catch up on headlines of 新民晚报.

(oh! I re-told my story of the hippopotamus milk. And as usual, got a huge leng chang and TK ignore me, JB give a cold laugh, H being very nice gimme face and smile, CS give a "just knew it (lame)" face. And all other girls in black din hear the lame story. -___-U)

Missing for a week

Yoz! I am back again, after disappearing from MSN and Blog for a week plus.

In the past week, I've:
Begin waking at 5.30am
Resumed morning coffee drinking
Dragged myself out to catch MRT
Look forward to end of work in evening.

Yesh, I've started holiday job, in contrary to what I "hope". Initial plan was to totally rest, recharge and read for my last 3months uni-holiday. And I ended up working again. For $$ and for avoiding being a leech, rotting and sleeping away at home, and get nagging from the host that I leech on.

Working in a whole new environment now, I am trying to cope and do my job well. One more month to go. I can resume my stay-home routine.

Apart from the first week of job, I managed to win another pair of movie tix to "Shaolin Girl", which I watched with mousey-JY. Muahahha, the fourth pair of movie tix I won this holiday! More to come yah!

Another important thing. 林宥嘉's 神秘嘉宾 has been released on 3rd June. Alot of nice songs. I'll write another post on it some other days, when the MV for the 3rd & 4th 主打 are release next week. (To be continue...)

Decision

Today, I've made a decision. A choice.

Many days of stress, alot of ponder, alot of indecisiveness.

Thinking of the many "what if"s.

Today is a trip is to confirm my thought.

Bits by bits, I assured myself.

Thoughts became clearer.

The feeling of finally deciding is good.

This post shall remind me that I must do my best.

No regrets, no looking back.

Just Do It. Do my best. With enthusiasm.

Yeah!!!! I am so relieved now.

Now I can worry about others things. v(^o^)v

I-Pop Holiday

I won a pair of VIP pass to last saturday, 24th May, I-Pop concert @ Ngee Ann City (Civic Plaza). Went with SZ since mama, who want to go but too busy from work can't make it.

Because of the "VIP pass", we stand reeeallll close to the stage (like 1.5m away from stage only). And me and SZ feel soooo weird there. And the camera from press keep shooting the front row... we are sooo dunnoe-where-to-hide. Haha.. Oh, we two super 脚酸, 'cause stand from 5pm till 10pm+. Real tired, especially while waiting for the concert to start. But once started, time flew pass very quickly. 酸~~~~

Movies & More Movies

Watched alot of movies, in cinema, and at home. Here's a list of them.

死神的秘密 Accuracy of Death (2008)

The Biggest attraction would be Takeshi Kaneshiro 金城武. So handsome 死神 lo! So handsome that mama want to watch it. Yeah, and so, me went to watch this with mama. hahah. It is a "funny" film. Alot of funny 对白 make the entire cinema LOL. Enjoyable!!!! Go watch it!

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008)

Won a pair of ticket and watch with SL. Personally I think this is better than the first one, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005). Maybe because this one is more war-film-like. But kinda missed the lion... Would be better if it has a heavier role. More memorable scenes include the beginning, where Prince Caspian ride a horse across the river (very nice filmography), and towards the end, where the river "Roar~~~" and drown the people. hhaha.

Iron man (2008)

This is like the Ironman version of "Batman: The Beginning". Detailing how Tony Stark becomes Ironman. Maybe because I am not familiar with ironman, the movie is not too captivating to me. Maybe the next one will be better.

Doomsday (2008)

Alot of gore... I kill you, you chase me, I slash him, he stab her. Grr... Alot of killing, but little plot. Killing for the sake of killing. The trailer is good, but the movie is not as nice.

三国之见龙卸甲 Three Kingdoms: Resurrection Of The Dragon (2008)

By Andy Lau! Perhaps has too high an expectation for it, that's why abit disappointed also. Even to a person who didn't know 三国志 well, some parts of the film seem abit rediculous, can't imagine what 三国志's fans would think. Haha. The only "oooh~" factor is that I finally understand what "见龙卸甲" means after watching till the end. hahahah!!!

10,000 BC (2008)

It is a movie about time travel+dinosaur+adventure. But is abit disappointed after watching it, it seem like a mix-&-match of Jurrasic Park+Star gate, yet no where near both.

老师嫁老大 Ah Long Pte Ltd (2008)

One of the three CNY movies this year, which is the only one that I gave a miss previously. Thought that it is a repetition of a korean movie having a similar theme. After watching, can see the difference. And the 笑点 are there. Quite funny for if you just want a relaxing-laugh-out-loud-time.

Transformers (2007)

This is nice!! If you go for action packed movie, this is the one. And the witty conversations of the HUGE transformer makes the movie not boring at all. Very fun to watch!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2007)

Erm... this is abit... lame. hahah!!! An average film only, unless you are a huge ninja turtle fan.

Star Wars is very nice... I am only left with one more Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005) to complete the legendary trilogy and prequel of the movie industry. All sci-fic fan should watch them, although it takes abit of time and stamina to finish it.
